Hiroshima WMD 1

Friday August 6th

Anniversary of the Atomoc Bombing of Hiroshima

59th year of the Nuclear Age.

Mordecai Emerges from Prison

Upwards cascades a shimmering swirl:
Eighteen white pigeons soaring high,
Doves of peace to mark this springtime day
When at last he is set free;

A day of happiness it would seem,
Yet every bird aloft should be dull grey
To match the tedious years spent on his own
Incarcerated in dark cells.

And don't forget-
The welcoming, the cheerful shouts
Greeting hom as he walks through the gate
Are mingled with menacing abuse:
Tells of Traitor! Murderer!

So we wonder what may be in store
For this challenger of nuclear bombs...
And remember this-
Peace doves as well as people can convey
Weapons of cruel mass destruction.

Something about taking 'the beam out of your own eye first' comes to mind.

Have you written to your MP about hypocrisy recently? Most of the world's WMD are in the hands of a dangerous mass murderer.

Wha! - Iraq? None?

*and that's only the nuclear weapons.
